The main objective of Pakhtunkhwa Radio Kohat is to inform, educate and entertain the people besides highlighting the special initiatives, public welfare programs and developmental activities of the provincial government. Promotion of peace and religious harmony are also part of the main objectives of the Radio. It also works on awareness regarding day to day sensitive and people welfare-oriented issues side by side peace building and countering anti-state elements, terrorism and extremism in the society. It broadcasts its Programs in Urdu, Pashto and Hindko Languages.
